Book Printing is a big topic that can separated into three primary categories. First there is the traditional book printing. This would apply to you if you are printing fairly long runs. This would mean anywhere from 3-5,000 or more books. The book printers who would work with you in this area are a different group than the other two.
The next category would be what I refer to as short run book printers. These are similar to the first group listed but they generally work with quantities of less than 5,000 books at a time.
The final category is Print on Demand book printers. They are also known in the industry as POD printers. This group specializes in runs less than 1500 to 2000 books and can generally turn your order around fairly quickly. Often times in less than 2 weeks. The problem here is that you will have to pay more for each copy.
Each one of these groups has their pluses and minuses. Some of the individual articles on each group will give you some more detail.
